Where it all started..
In my first year of university, my friends and I would travel around the city on our electric skateboards, which, in a nutshell, was awesome because we could get around the city so quickly. The only problem was that it was hard to signal to other road users when we were turning or slowing down. Due to the lack of safety lights on our electric boards (due to there not being a market for them), it could be dangerous at night.
Like a cyclist, I had to put my arm out to signal (which seemed so antiquated when there should be a better way), and being an engineering student, I wanted to come up with an innovative and never-before-seen way to indicate left and right and brake, just like cars do.
By utilizing clever technology like accelerometers and Neo Pixel strips, I devised a way to have a rear light that could indicate and brake, similar to other vehicles. This technology was later adapted for electric bikes to help reduce accident rates.
Thus, PXLE was born
